Pikachu I choose you!

For the holidays TonyMoly released some more Pokémon items and I had purchased the very adorable Pikachu cushion and the tube mascara and have been testing them out for a few weeks.  When the pokémon line first surfaced I had gotten the Charmander facial cleanser and didn’t like it at all but I couldn’t pass these two items up. Let’s see how well these items faired…

This is the Pikachu Color Mascara it comes in three colors (burgundy, gray, and black) and you get 8g of product . I purchased mine here from tester korea and it is supposed to give a volumizing effect. I purchased this is the black color and I found the mascara wand a bit large and a little hard to use on my lashes. I also didn’t find that it did really anything for my lashes except color them. This packaging is very adorable, but this item was a dud for me. 1/5

Here is the Pikachu BB Cushion SPF50+ PA+++ I purchased this from the same site tester korea and you get 12g of product. This only comes is 2 different shades and I got the darkest one in #02 Warm Beige. It is a tad too light for my skin, but I can warm it up with bronzer. This BB cushion is supposed to lightly adhere to skin and softly cover imperfections. Some of the star ingredients are lotus water, tea tree extract, and cottonseed oil. This cushion does offer a fair bit of coverage and I was happy to see it didn’t break out my skin or clog my pores. I just had to conceal my under eye circles but it covered my acne quite well. It has a light semi-dewy finish I was nervous because I have oily skin. I set my T-zone area with powder and after about 4 hours I could see the oils in my face start break down the BB cream. 3.5/5

swatched on about NC30 skin tone

Final Thoughts: I would skip the mascara and go for the BB cushion. It provides a surprising amount of coverage for how light and airy it feels on the skin. It doesn’t last as long as I would wish but it is nice for those more natural days.

Thank you so much for reading and please follow me to never miss a post.
