Revlon Photoready Review

Hello Everyone! Its a very rainy and cold April day and I am ready for that warm spring weather to kick in any day now! I’m actually really excited to bring you this review today for Revlon’s Photoready primer, Insta-Fix Highlighter, and Insta-Fix Blush that I was given for free in exchange for an honest review. I partnered with crowdtap and they have opportunities to review a wide range of products.

Photoready Perfecting Primer: The price of this product ranges from about $9.99-$13.99 and you get 0.91oz of product. The product has no detectable scent and is color free. You need about half a pump to cover your whole face. The product claims to soften skin and reduce the appearance of pores and fine lines. I had tried products from this line when they first came out and everything I had tried broke out my skin. I was pleasantly surprised when I spread this on my skin it felt soft but not overly silicony and absorbed quickly into my skin. It softened my skin, filled in, and blurred my pores. I tried it out with a few different foundations and each one still looked as fresh after my 8 hour work day as it did when I first applied. This primer also did wonders to help control my oily skin.

Ingredients: Dimethicone, Isododecane, Water, Trisiloxane, PEG/PPG-19/19 Dimethicone, Isodecyl Neopentanoate, C13-16 Isoparaffin, Silica Silylate, C10-13 Isoparaffin, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Dimethicone/Bis-Isobutyl PPG-20 Crosspolymer, Silica, Tocopherol, Glycerin, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Methicone, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol. May Contain: Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Ultramarines.

Photoready Insta-Fix Highlighter & Blush Duo in 003 Medium: Both these sticks contain 0.31 oz of product and right now it looks like you can only purchase them separately for about $9.99-$13.99 a piece. The highlighter was my favorite of the two it is in the shade Gold Light and it had a smooth application under or over my foundation. I think it would be a great Benefit Watts Up dupe. It is a champagne gold color and brightened up my complexion without exaggerating any of the texture that was on my skin. The blush, in shade Nude Kiss, on the other hand was streaky and more of a bronzer I felt than a blush shade. It is supposed to be sheer but I felt like it disappeared into my NC30 skin. It also moved around my foundation.

My Final Thoughts:

Primer: 4/5 I was surprised by how well this primer worked to keep my foundation on my face and to fill and blur my pores. This is a winning primer for my oily acne prone skin.

Highlighter: 4/5 I felt like this was a great dupe for Watts Up and gave me an inner glow. It also blended out beautifully and layered well with my foundation.

Blush: 1/5 This blush was streaky and disappeared on my skin. It moved around my foundation. This is a pass for me.
