My First BoxyCharm!

I hope everyone is able to catch the eclipse today. It is a very exciting phenomena to see and I wish everyone gets to experience it in their lifetime. I was very happy to see a small black box in my mail from my newest box subscription. I have had many throughout the years and was having too many mediocre bags through ipsy and thought I would try a new service. This is my first month through BoxyCharm and just a little bit about their subscription:

  • It is $21/month with different box tiers where you save more when you buy more. ($59 for 3 months, $116 for 6 months, and $231 for 12 months)
  • You will receive 4-5 full sized and luxury sized products every month.
  • Every box is supposed to contain over $100 worth of product.

For more information or to sign up you can check out their site boxycharm. Let’s see what was in my box!

The theme of this month’s box is “Beach Please” and was packaged with care to not break in the shipping process.

Moda Pro 3-Piece Brush Set by Royal & Langnickel $26: This set consists of the BMX-130 (Pointer blush/powder brush) BMX-250 (Contour Brush) and the BMX-430 (Blending brush). I was very excited to see a brush set in my box and full sized at that. The brushes are fluffy and soft, I don’t really care much for the angled brush but I will be able to make it work. These brushes are supposed to work with wet and dry products. The handles of these have a nice diamond-like pattern and feel nice in the hand.

Waterproof Gel Liner by Bellapierre $15: This is a black gel pencil liner. This was kind of a disappointment to see. It is a nice liner, but it is added to my collection of endless black pencil liners. This one is supposed to be formulated with pure miners, natural waxes, and antioxidants.

Pro Eyelashes in Bombshell by PÜR $14: I love getting lashes in boxes and I rarely get them let alone ones that are this lovely. These are cruelty free lashes that you are supposed to get 30 wears out of. They are handcrafted out of the finest silk to be ultra-lightweight and natural looking. These are beautiful and whispy lashes that I hope hold up to their 30 wear claim.

#GRLPWR Liquid Lipstick in Date Night by The Beauty Corp $14.95: This is a matte lipstick that is long wearing. I enjoy the color choice it is a my lips but better color. The formula contains Shea Butter and Vitamin E to stay comfortable on the lips and not flake up. This is a nice choice for the box and the lipstick has already made it into my purse.

Rainforest of the Sea: Volume II by Tarte $36: THERE IS A FULL SIZED PALETTE IN THE BOX! I FREAKED when I saw this! The palette consists of 8 super creamy cool toned shades. These are metallic-y shades that are great for every day looks or can be beautiful for sultry smokey eyes.

Final Thoughts: 4.5/5 The total of this box is $105.95 and full of great products that I’ve already integrated into my daily routine. I did get one of my least favorite items (I dislike pencil liners, nail polishes, and certain brushes) in the box everything else is an absolute winner! I mean the cost of the brush set or the palette alone make up for the price of the box!

Thank you so much for reading and please follow me to never miss a post!

  1. I was super-close to signing up with BoxyCharm for the first time, just for the tarte palette! But then I realized I’d just bought some tarte palettes during their last big sale, so I stopped myself.

It’s a great box, though! The brush set looks so nice, too!

We’re not super close to the path of totality, but went outside for the eclipse. Got a little shady. Looking forward to the next one in 7 years, which is supposed to be really close to us here in Toronto 🙂

    1. What did you get in the sale? I somehow missed the sale completely! I’m curious to see what is in next months box. It was the same here it got a bit shady then went back to normal. That’ll be so exciting to have it so close!
